Legally, bonded labour system has already been abolished in Nepal. However in reality, ‘Haruwa’ (ploughmen) ‘Charuwa’ (cattle herders) is a pure form of bondage that is still prevailing in many districts in the country. Against this backdrop CSRC in partnership with the freedom fund is implementing ATAP project. Here, CSRC will assess the advocacy knowledge, capacity and skills among Geneva Global partner organizations and the Federation required for them to engage in the development and implementation of advocacy strategy and action plan, and will develop and implement capacity building supports for them.
