A workshop on Resource Generation and Mobilization was held from 10-12 November 2024 at Park Village Resort, Budhanilkantha. CSRC, as one of the members of Partners Investment Fund (PIF) led by OXFAM collaborated with Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) Nepal to facilitate a Resource Generation and Mobilization Workshop for 13 member organizations from 10 to 12 November 2024.
The overall objectives of this workshop were to capacitate PIF partners in understanding the nature, types and importance of resources in the organization and create an enhanced platform where exchange of experiences, ideas, skills and insights among the partners can be facilitated.
The major outcomes were:
- Strengthened ability of PIF partners to develop sustainable resource generation strategies
- Enhanced understanding of long-term resource generation techniques, enabling PIF partners to align their strategies and initiatives with broader organizational goal
- Reduced dependency on limited funding streams resulting in enhanced financial stability
Workshop Duration, Time and Venue
The workshop was conducted from 10 to 12 Nov. 2024 physically. Each day 6 hours were organized: 9 am to 6 pm.
Participants
Twenty-eight participants from 13 organizations attended the workshop. Participants were senior management such as Board Chair, National Director, Finance, MEAL, Program Development, etc.
Representatives from OXFAM were present to observe the whole workshop procedures. Facilitators/Resource persons:

Methods
The workshop was based on adult learning principles. To ensure an active learning atmosphere, appropriate interactive participatory methods were used to conduct sessions. Information and related messages were delivered through presentation and experience sharing. To develop common understanding on important issues, plenary discussions were also held. Individual exercise and small group work methods were used to enhance the understanding of participants on specific issues and subject matters. Participatory methods were used in the workshop which included question-answer, discussion, brainstorming and presentation. These methodologies remained effective to make participants more interactive.
